Teacher and student feedback:

Dear John,
Once again, I would like to thank you for the workshops on Dickens you had today in our school. I have to admit that the more I think of it the more precious stuff I get out of it, so do my students. We really appreciate the... continued here

Welcome to our 21st Century!

What, if anything, is so different about this new century we are trying to navigate through? One of the things you may have noticed is that things happen really fast. There is little or no time for reflection before preparing for new challenges. Sometimes we are forced to make 180 degree changes in our thinking and work habits. Iron-clad and fool-proof ideas suddenly appear to have been built on sand. Many of us end up running blindly in one direction or another, only to realize that, once again, we have ended up in places where we don't want to be. One of the reasons this is happening is the gap between the knowledge and skills most of us learn in school and the knowledge and skills we need for success in our communities and workplaces.

New workshops for kids and adults

Thumb's Up! - An Introduction to Body language  Sticking up your thumb can mean different things to different people. To Westerners it means "this is good", to Italians, "one", to Japanese, "five", and to Greeks, "up yours". In this workshop, participants will start to understand and develop their own personal "Body Language Dictionaries". It is easy to see how important body language is to successful communication. "Get if off your chest", "Face up to it", and "Kiss my Butt" are some good examples of how spoken language in connected to visual input. So, just put your best foot forward and lean towards this fun workshop. As a rule of thumb, I won't let you down  and you will end up giving me a big hand in the end.
